A SENIOR BIRTHDAY LUNCHEON is scheduled for 11:15 on Tuesday, Sept. 7. Everyone is invited to come help celebrate the August & September birthdays of Jean Hastings, Warren Davis, Charlotte Farrar, Carl Parker, Allen Cadd, Jean Raper, Alice Whitaker, T.L. Jernigan, & Shannon Broadwell.
WITH WEDNESDAY NIGHT DINNERS starting next week, Sept. 8 - please note that we'll be using the most recent Standing Reservation List. If you would like your name added or removed, please notify the Church Office.
A CALLED BUSINESS MEETING is scheduled for 6:30 pm on Wednesday, Sept. 8 regarding a recommendation from the Finance Committee.
New Class: Are you tired of hearing that you ought to be reading and studying God’s word, but you don’t know how? Is your relationship with God based on what others tell you, or on hearing Him speak to you through His Word? Precept Bible studies provide a disciplined approach to a fuller knowledge of God, and a rich, personal relationship with Him. An inductive study of themes in REVELATION using materials from Precept Ministries beginning Thursday, Sept. 9, will help you develop your knowledge of God and the skills for a profitable Bible study. Information and registration materials are on the tables in the entries, or see Jim Lowery for more information.
NEW MEMBERS SUNDAY will be observed next week, Sept. 12. Sunday School will begin at 10:00 am with a combined service at 11:00 am. Following the service a New Members Banquet will be held in the Fellowship Hall. Everyone is asked to bring enough food for their family plus one other person. During the banquet, a Ministry Team Fair will take place.
ATTENTION BOYS & GIRLS in Kindergarten to Grade Five, & Parents! Come join the TREASURE HUNT in God’s Word, which begins on Wednesday, Sept. 15 from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. A new Kids Program not seen before at Bethlehem will lead boys & girls in an exciting new journey. A monthly calendar & weekly newsletter will be sent home to help keep you informed. On Wednesday nights with scheduled Business Meetings the Kids Program will NOT meet. For more information, contact: Ruth Martin or Karen Hegner.
LADIES’ MINISTRY NEWS: “A Woman of Worship”, by Dee Brestin, starts Sunday, Sept. 19 in the Fellowship Hall. It will run for 10 Sundays. Bring your own sandwich and we will provide drinks, chips, & cookies. Come at 5:30 pm for fellowship and supper. The lesson runs from 6:00-7:00 pm. In order to receive a free book with musical CD by Integrity, you need to come to the first meeting. Please make a commitment to stay with us throughout this study of the Psalms!
